My Journey into the world of Affiliate Marketing
Welcome to The new Site! My name is Matty Mac.
Its NEVER to late to start. So at the ripe old age of 38, I have decided dive deep into the world of Affiliate Marketing.
I figure, Hey! The internet ain’t going anywhere. I have been in Bricks and Mortar Retail all my life. Lets start learning the world of ONLINE retailing.
I haven’t got a product of my own to sell directly to the world, so I will start with selling someone elses.
The way I understand it is..
I sign up with a whole load of other companies who sell stuff, and all I need to do is send a bunch of people to their site, via my own personal affiliate link, and if they buy, I get a small commission!
Easy Right? I imagine its not that easy.. AT ALL. But lets find out.
Truth be told, I have dabbled in this before. Many years ago, I signed up as a Book Depository Affiliate. I was always buying books, and thought, at worst, I could get a 5% kickback on all the books i bought for myself. So I did. I threw a spin on the whole book depository thing, and purchased my very first domain name, paint edited a simple little logo and set the wheels in motion.

I thought the little sneaky spin might create some buzz on its own.. it did with my friends, but it never really went viral in the public.
That sat around for a few years and every now and again, I would see a small deposit come into my Paypal account. I recently wondered how I could Ramp Up the sales and produce a few more commission cheques. So I went onto Youtube and searched affiliate marketing. A bit of an information overload as you can expect, but it really did spark something in me to get off my ass and learn a bit more. This led me to Traffic Generation, SEO Sales Funnels, and a whole list of heaps more I still don’t really understand. But here goes.
