Traits of Every Affiliate Marketer

Affiliate Marketing isn’t easy. Anyone who says you can be sitting on a beach, earning $5000 dollars passive income within a month is lying to you. Yes. They are! It takes a WHOLE lot of work to build an affiliate business up to the point of sitting in the sun on holidays forever, and having money poor into your bank account.

Unfortunately, that just doesn’t happen quickly!

But there are some things you can do, and a few traits every affiliate marketer possess, that you must learn, to help you on your journey to becoming a successful Affiliate Marketer.

1. Passion

Passion for the process.  You need to love the journey. Chasing customers, providing people with valuable content and giving out without the expectation of getting back. When you HAVE that passion, you will find it does come back to you naturally.. in spades!

2. Training

You can get this in so many ways.. But it IS going to cost you. If good training doesn’t cost you in money, its certainly going to cost you in TIME… and most probably.. ALOT of BOTH!  If you aren’t willing to invest Time and Money into your own training and learning.. then look for another career path now.  The BEST training I would recommend for someone starting out is the 100 Day Affiliate Bootcamp by Clickfunnels.  Its affordable. Its detailed. It’s engaging, so you wont get bored. This is what really lit a fire under my ass for Affiliate Marketing!

3. An Offer to Promote

You will need one to start with.. and eventually, you will have hundreds. Because once you learn how to make $2 from spending $1…. you will just duplicate the same process for any item you like…

Its that simple. $1 in.. $2 out.

4. An E-mail Marketing list

You wont have one when you begin, but thats ok. Start building one from day 1. You have probably heard the saying, “The Money Is In The List” and its true. The Email list you build is YOURS. Not your Facebook Followers. Those people are all owned by Facebook. Not Your Twitter or Instagram followers either. Get yourself a reputable Autoresponder program.. I use Getresponse, and make sure all your leads go through a Simple Landing Page to capture email leads and build your list.

And Finally…..

5. Patience

Its not going to happen overnight… Sometimes a month… sometimes a year… sometimes 3 years. Everyone learns at different rates.. and some will put in much more time than others. Is it worth it?? DEFINITELY!

Find yourself a mentor to follow. Listen intently. and dont be afraid to take a chance now and again.
