Building a Sales Funnel for a Retail Store
Retail Businesses are so unique in the Sales Funnel Game. As you say, you’re not selling your product online, you rely on people coming into your store to provide them a service you get paid for.. So it has to be attacked from a slightly different approach.
I recently build a sales funnel for a client. He is a car salesman. Obviously, he isn’t going to sell a car online, so this is the road (no pun intended) we took to get him clients walking through his door.
Using very targeted, localized and inexpensive Facebook Ads, we offer out a lead magnet that his ideal customers will surely be interested in. In this case it was a study between choosing a new or used vehicle for those who aren’t sure. In your business you may offer some kind of information on hair treatment, chemical to use or not use, etc etc. The main objective is to get their e-mail and get them on your marketing list. When they are on your marketing list, you only need to stay in the forefront of their mind, by way of keeping in touch with them. Building a list is the single most important thing any business can do.
You only need to give them a small incentive to come and see you.. we offered an obligation Trade-in valuation and additional incentive if they came in to see us.
You could easily offer a “First Haircut Free”, or some kind of additional treatment.. and although that may seem like an expensive incentive, if you think about the lifelong value of a customer.. this is actually a cheap way to obtain a customer. The hardest part is getting them in the doors for the first time. Once you build a rapport with them, they will only ever come back to see you.
